There's a town.

I say town. Half a dozen buildings, maybe. A church to hold a preacher man, drinkin' hole to hold the sinners, cathouse to hold some sins; flophouse to hold a few handful lives of transient desperation, sawbones to prolong (or end) 'em, and a sturdy block structure with impregnable doors, re- and re-re-purposed time out of mind, left over from the Olden Days. Squat and scarred and excellent for layin' low in, should some strange bastard blow through like tumbleweed, weighed down with brass-cased murders-to-be, and start somethin'.

Two roads cross in the dust. That's where it is. But it ain't on maps — not on ones you should trust.
